Biography

President Suzanne Courvisier-Mathis has over thirty-five years experience in the retail and wholesale fine jewelry fields. She built her business working with only the crème de la crème of clients and candidates.

Suzanne founded Diamond Staffing Solutions® in May 2002 out of frustration with trying to build successful teams. “The industry lacked a key contact that could integrate knowledge of the industry with revolutionary, change-effecting business solutions,” she says. “There was a real need.”

Suzanne attended industry conventions, shows and special events as she established the brand that would make a difference.

In 2005, Suzanne presented “The Art of Hiring and Retaining Your Dream Team” as a Keynote Speaker for the JCK Las Vegas Show and presented a seminar on “Jewelry Olympics” at the Couture Diamond Leadership Conference in New York City.

She is a frequent roundtable discussion leader for the New York Jewelers Group and a columnist for lead industry publications in matters of staffing. Her articles appear in such national publications as Instore, Modern Jeweler, Professional Jeweler, JCK, and National Jeweler, and the Canadian publication Jewellery Business.

Confidentiality and personal service are paramount for Suzanne. For instance, at the 2004 and 2005 JCK Las Vegas Shows, Diamond Staffing Solutions® arranged personalized limousine service for clients and candidates meeting at the Bellagio Hotel for complimentary staffing consultations.

Today, Suzanne is one of the most respected, sought-after industry leaders. She explains the fine jewelry industry as “invigorating. People leave the industry and are inevitably drawn back.
